Healthcare Bus

The contract between the host and every appliance attached to it.

mAIWell ecosystem architecture. The cloud platform at the top holds the AI engine, protocol library, doctor portal, patient records, insurance integration, healthcare resources and analytics. It exchanges care plans and protocols with the YF1000 host in the centre, which patients, healthcare providers and insurers all reach through. Below the host the Healthcare Bus connects massage, blood pressure, ECG, POCT, ultrasound, camera, temperature and future appliances, each holding only sensors and an MCU.
The platform end to end: cloud above, YF1000 host in the middle, appliances on the Healthcare Bus below. Every appliance is driven by the host and holds no AI, no cloud connection and no decision logic of its own.

Overview

The Healthcare Bus is how appliances attach to the YF1000. It defines discovery, identity, capability description, data exchange and command delivery.

It is a contract before it is a transport. An appliance that satisfies the contract works, without the host having been written with that appliance in mind.

Why it matters

Without a common bus, every vendor integration is bespoke and the cost of the ecosystem grows with the square of its size. With one, a vendor implements against a published interface once.

The comparison is deliberate: USB HID and Bluetooth GATT made whole device categories interchangeable by agreeing on a description format rather than on a product.

What crosses the bus

  • Capability descriptions — what this appliance can measure or do
  • Measurements, with units and provenance
  • Commands, issued only by the host
  • Health and status, including calibration and fault conditions

Future expansion

Additional appliance classes are added by extending the capability vocabulary, not by changing the transport, so existing devices keep working across versions.
