Identity
Patients, clinicians, devices and partners as first-class identities.
Overview
Identity covers four kinds of actor: the patient, the clinician, the device and the partner organisation. Each has a distinct lifecycle, and each is authenticated separately.
Why it matters
Consent, delegation and audit all depend on knowing precisely who or what acted. Treating a device identity as equal in standing to a human identity is what makes an appliance’s output admissible in a care record.
